Christmas Lists 2009
Nov 26th
With Black Friday tomorrow, we thought it appropriate to post our Christmas lists now. Just in case anyone who is shopping for us is brave enough to go out on Black Friday (I for sure am not) and wish they got our Christmas Lists. We will update this blog when we update our Christmas lists with the current date, so check back to see if anything changes (like, if you’re a last minute shopper like me).

Halloween Fun
Oct 26th
Since Jared and I have been married we have gone to the Cornbelly’s Corn Maze at Thanksgiving Point. It is way fun! We went with our friends Taylor and Jessica Forbush. We’ve gone with them almost every time we’ve gone (except for only one time, I think). Well, we started out the day with pig and goat races. Goats are one of Jared’s favorite animals. If you don’t believe me I have videos to prove it. Then we went on a hayride.
We also went to the Halloween tree. There were crazy pumpkins there that you wouldn’t believe people actually carved. I think it inspired us as you will see later in the post.
After admiring the glow radiating from the jack-o-lanterns we headed to the jumping pillow for good exercise. It made me miss having a trampoline. Jared got way into it of course.
Then for the main event: the corn maze. Last year we got through way too fast. This year we were decently lost for a little bit of time.
But don’t worry we made it to the Victory Bridge in the end
. (P.S. This is Jared now. Side story: There was this annoying group of girls going through the corn maze that we had to follow for a little bit. They were being loud and spouting off random things, and every once in a while they would say, “We’re not drinking!” Anyway, the Victory Bridge takes you over the entrance as it takes you out of corn maze. I saw this group of girls below us, going through the entrance saying, “Finally, we’re done!” It took everything I had not to tell them they were actually at the beginning of the maze where they had started.)
The day was also full of fun little activities.
Well, we had a lot of fun but it was getting to closing time so we had to take our carriage and say good bye until next year.
Pumpkin Carving
Sunday we got together and carved pumpkins at Jared’s Dad’s house. Jared and I tried a little harder this year, but used patterns. I think this is my best pumpkin ever. Mine says Trick or Treat and Jared’s is a monster. But you tell me, does it look good enough to be my best pumpkin ever?
My mother-in-law Kathy went all out. We had a yummy soup, homemade apple sauce, and caramel apples.
This family gathering was a obvious success. Wow. All this Halloween fun and it isn’t even Halloween. Now all we need to do is decide what we are going to be for our Halloween Party. Any ideas?
