Christmas Lists

So almost EVERYONE who has us for Christmas is asking for lists, so we’ve been forced beyond our will to make them. Here’s my warning.... we’ve been too busy with pre-Thanksgiving homework to really think about Christmas, much less Thanksgiving, to create lists. I’m (Jared) still having a hard time thinking of what I want (since I have Becky and my MacBook, I’m pretty content). SOOOOOOO...... Since I promised some people I’d have my/our Christmas lists up at the end of this weekend, here they are. But just a warning... they will most likely be updated with more things after Thanksgiving once I’ve had some time to think of other things I’d like and actually get caught up with stuff that will be coming out in time for the holidays (example, the Dark Knight DVD isn’t out yet, but will be in time for Christmas). So we’ll be updating the blog when we update the list. Once we do update the lists, those with RSS Feeds will get an update (hypothetically) of when it gets changed. If not, check the date at the top of the page.
(We know the picture is not of us, but it’s one of the only Christmas pictures we have on our computer until we get our decorations up, so it will change after Thanksgiving.)

Halloween was a fun night. We dressed up as Rock Band rock stars for our ward Halloween party. Jared even put eye liner on under his eye to add to the emo effect and did his hair in a fauxhawk. If you know Jared very well you know that the fauxhawk was the hard part. All the ward members were really impressed. The only problem was that two other couples dressed up as rock band rock stars too. We all had the guitars with us. Oh well, we will have to be more creative next year.
After the party we went to carve pumpkins with Scott and his girlfriend Abigail. However, they arrived an hour late with no pumpkin (sold out everywhere). Luckily, we didn’t wait for them. You can see our masterpieces above. Jared’s is on the left, mine (Becky’s) is on the right. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

This is the sixth picture from the sixth folder. Except our photos are organized in events, so this is the sixth picture of the sixth event. This picture is of our second reception in Washington when we are eating the cake. Aren’t we so cute and in love.
(Jared here now, and don’t I look like I’m about to ninja punch Becky or something? I’m so cool.)

Nicia tagged me to do this husband survey.

Where did you meet? On a blind date.
How long did you date before you got married? Dated for 1 year and two months minus 2 days. Engaged for 5 months and 3 days. Or 1108 days from today.

3. How long have you been married? Almost a year and a half. 530 days today, but who’s counting.

What does he do that surprises you? It surprises me when he tries out things that he knows I like because he knows I like them. For example he is getting to like Pudding on the Rice because he knows that is my favorite type of pudding and he is even listening (audio book) to the Twilight series for me.
What is your favorite feature of his? I love when he gets so excited over little stuff, like tacos.

6. What is your favorite quality of his? He always tells me that he loves me and how great he thinks I am.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Becky Boo, or Boo or honey or honey bunches, or Buckaroo .

8. What is his favorite color? Blue.

9. What is his favorite food? TACOS!!!

10. What is his favorite sport? Ultimate Frisbee

When and where was your first kiss? In October 2005 a couple weeks after we started dating at the doorway to my apartment at Liberty Square.

12. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Just cuddle on the couch.

13. Do you have any children? Nope

14. Does he have a hidden talent? I don’t know if any of his talents are hidden, but he has a lot. He is a good guitar player, he is good at figuring out things on the computer, he is great at video games (especially when you compare him to me), he is good at helping people out when they need it, and he is actually a good cook.

15. How old is he? 24

Who said "I love you" first? He did.

17. What is his favorite type of music? He likes most rock, alternative, girl rock bands. A few of his favorite would be Foo Fighters, Paramore and Jimmy Eat World.

What do you admire most about him? He really tries to help others, he is really patient, he is good at figuring things out and works really hard to figure it out. He’s just great.

19. Do you think he will read this? Yes.

20. I tag: nope your off the hook, I’m nice like that, unlike some people
It’s been tons of fun to learn how to actually make stuff, which is something I’ve always been interested in. For an assignment, we had to make a hammer, which has used a bunch of techniques on the lathe, like rough cutting, finish cutting, turning between centers, parting off, knurling, tapering. Then we would use the drill press to create a hole in the hammer head and then tap the hole and the handle to create threads that fit with each other. We were told exactly how to make the handle, but the hammer head was of our own design and making. So as you can see, the fruits of my labor!
